WESTWOOD, CA. — A new TikTok trend known as “Undies Out” has resulted in a growing number of people across the country walking around with their underwear over their regular clothes.

“Undies Out” gained widespread popularity after the revered influencer @GuysBeingStupid posted a clip of a 15-year-old male roof-surfing with a pair of pink plaid boxers over his basketball shorts. From there, people similar in age to the original subject began posting videos of themselves dancing with tighty whities over their pants—and quickly began wearing the undergarments as fashion accessories in public.

Teenagers and young adults with their chonies beneath their pants (as was previously customary) are becoming an increasingly rare sight. The “Undies Out” movement has erupted with such velocity in part due to its immense versatility: underwear can be worn over shorts, leggings, jeans, overalls, or even other underwear!

In addition to new startups solely dedicated to producing panties, many well-known fashion brands such as Prada and Gucci have begun selling exquisitely crafted designer drawers, usually starting at around $750 per pair (though the highest recorded price for a pair of underwear would be the legendary Birkin Boxers at $69,420).

At press time, the current generation of teenagers had moved on to the latest and greatest new internet challenge: eating from garbage cans.
